HC Clay’s debut novel—Knights Templar of King David: Absalom’s Fury—has lived in his imagination since childhood.
He grew up watching a steady stream of classic westerns, vintage sci-fi, and superhero comics, where honor rode tall, and mysteries stretched far beyond the stars. As a boy, he used his imagination to create heroes who would answer the call of those who needed help and protection.
HC writes with a deep love of myth, justice, and the ever-present tension between faith and fear. His characters are everyday people called to something greater, and his stories explore what happens when the ancient world touches the modern one.
When he’s not writing, HC enjoys storytelling in all forms—film, history, theology, and late-night conversations that spiral into legend. He was born in the bustling city of New York, but grew up and lives in the rural hills and lush greenery of the Southwestern region of Virginia. He is a lawyer and former Paramedic, which helped fuel his stories of destiny, courage, and the enduring power of belief.
